I...don't understand.

I don't understand why the tragic backstory of our sweet-Obito-turned-Big-Bad is being dedicated to conversations about pooping.

I don't understand how this emphasizes the tragedy. Or how it pertains to his story. Or hell, how it does anything but further destroy our ability to take Mr. Moon's Eye Plan seriously.

I also don't understand why Zetsu and...whatever the hell Tobi's Mask guy (another Zetsu?) are being so buddy-buddy with Obito. Zetsu's never really acted like this before that I can recall.

I still don't understand how the multiple Zetsus that can apparently be molded onto living bodies (see: Obito) thing works. Or how Obito ended up underground to begin with.

Or, I dunno, what the hell Madara was doing there/how he survived this long/why his zombie body is so much younger than his current one.

Also? STILL NOT SEEING OBITO GOING DARK SIDE FOR A CHILDHOOD CRUSH, KISHI.

Thoughts? Is there a deep meaning to all of this that's going straight over my head?

o_O This was a weird chapter, to say the least. Wished I could have read it earlier, but Viennese WiFi sucked ass, so it was virtually impossible ^^;

The whole thing about pooping goes over my head as well. Somehow, that read like a fanfic that tried to be canon, but spiced it with odd bits of humor too :/ Or maybe that's just me.

The whole childhood crush was not strong enough, in my opinion. Maybe the whole montage thing kinda destroyed it for me (I kept hearing the music from "Rocky" while reading those pages, lol), but it just... despite it being a flashback, it wasn't fleshed out enough for my taste. In other words: I don't see this happening because of that crush either!

Seems like Kishi's only option to convince us to take this whole thing seriously is to make some kick-ass next chapter with plenty of explanations, otherwise... yeah.

So if this does have a deep meaning, it's going over my head as well; you're not alone ;)

The pooping thing kinda reminds me of my terrible story tendency to write humor into really inappropriate situations. Heck knows Kishi can write tragedy, so...?

Maybe that was it; it wasn't really fleshed out at all. And there doesn't seem to be anything particularly evil going on at this point? I mean jeez, even the Zetsus are being friendly.

Yeah, that would be nice. But I won't hold my breath. x'D

That describes it perfectly! I mean, just the part about what it is (not badmouthing your writing or anything ^^;)...

I think the evilness will come in the next chapters - who knows what Madara will tell Obito. Maybe he'll "brainwash" him in a way. And then Obito will probably really get into his "new role", and the Zetsus' attitudes will change (not necessarily for the bad, but more in the sense of respect). ...The more I look at this, the more I prefer my head-canon in which Madara was Tobi, albeit just a younger body or something :/

Me neither. To be honest, after our perceptions have gotten screwed over so many times up till this point, I'm actually kinda looking forward to the end of the series. I want stuff to get wrapped up and questions to be answered. Dunno about you, but my main questions are currently these:
a) What will happen in terms of ItaSasu? Will we ever get to see Itachi again aside from flashbacks?
b) SasuNaru: more hints or *gasp* actual canon? I'd be toooootally okay with that :D (But basically, it's just about what'll happen to Sasuke - death, or life (and if so, which sort of life)?

8/ I give up. I'm sticking with the fandom. I like my version where Obito actually survived the war, but lost limbs so was rendered unable to continue active duty. He ended up making exploding tags with his mother and adopting his sensei's baby. And introducing Kakashi to Gai.

Did he explain how exactly Rin died?

Started working on it back in 2010 (within a month of Nth posting Twice at Dawn, coincidentally). I dunno if I'd have the patience to write the whole thing, but the plotting would be good. Maybe if inspiration bites.
What's fanfic etiquette on plot-outlines or short vignettes?
