Feb. 1st, 2014 07:06 pmWelp, I did it. I signed up for the new Merlin Big Bang. I can see no way in which this carefully laid plan could ever go awry.
Except I haven't actually written for a new fandom since Naruto, because the SPN/DW/Merlin fanwriters are so freaking good that it scared me off writing fanfiction in general? And this will need to be a longfic. And finished. And edited. And I'm gonna need a beta, I've never had a beta, and hopefully they can do Britpicking too? And a draft needs to be finished by a certain point and ahhahaha, I don't know why I do this to myself.
BUT. I have been playing with this idea for ages now, and I'm hopeful that I can execute it well. So we'll see! *Rock Lee pose*
Please tell me someone else has lost their mind and is attempting this? I'd welcome advice from anyone who's ever done a BB before, too. x'D

Because everybody is about twelve (which isn't bad when you're also twelve, but when you're a tad older...well). And because half of the inhabitants are pretentious, arrogant little shits who get off on telling people about the problems with their work and like to pretend they're the mature ones.
I suppose it could make for an interesting study. I've been off the site for awhile, and apparently in my absence the old flaming communities have been replaced with militant rule-enforcers (because ffnet likes to pretend it's upholding something resembling quality). Thus I have gotten four reviews on the story I crossposted to ffnet, and three of them have been berating and/or reporting me for breaking the site's 'no chatroom format' rule.
...Really? Do people actually care enough about this shit to bother? It's starting to irk me even though I know it's stupid. :|

2. Go to line 7
3. Copy down the next 7 lines – sentences or paragraphs – and post them as they’re written.

April: Right. So. I was enjoying the chapter, the flashbacks, the image of Kurenai and Asuma's baby, all that good stuff.
May: Longest conversation with the Kyuubi ever, methinks?
June: Aw, come on!
July: Mito appearance=love.
August: MY NEW FAVORITE CHAPTER.
September: Okay, so in a fit of procrastination-induced madness, I have decided to try and write something pairing Shisui with the weirdest person possible.
October: Well, it's better than complaining about work or doing coursework like I'm supposed to be doing, so there you go.
November: *sigh* And here we go again.
December: Not too much to say...Naruto's still sounding more like his old self, which is nice.
