No, that's not terrible at all! I completely understand how you'd want a little break - believe me, I feel the same after so many years of school/studying and wish I could say the same - but as my parents correctly pointed out, the working world waits for no one.

Was it a positive email? And if so, would you have to start working there immediately? *yay for another friend who works/will work at a library ^^*

It sounded pretty positive, yeah. I've volunteered there for years so they pretty much all know me. Not sure when I would have to start working, actually; they haven't said. (Yay, library workers FTW! What's your position exactly? :3)

So am I, even if I love my work ;) At college, I learned that there are two types of people: type X, which needs a lot of encouragement and control to ensure that they actually do their jobs, and type Y, which acts on own initiative and doesn't need the aforementioned control. I knew from the start that I was a type X, haha! :D

Awesome! Getting permanent work at a place you already know is pretty much the best thing that can happen, IMHO :)
My current position is that of a substitute - if they're short on personnel in one of the 16 branches of my library, they ask me if I can fill in. And if I have the time, I agree to that :) I hope to be responsible for one or two groups of books (i.e. history and music), maybe do some cataloging... y'know, anything but the alpha-animal of a library ;D
