Okay, um...where do I start?

Kishi's strategy is becoming more clear now. His goal was to make us so sick of Naruto's God Mode Sue powers that we would be stunned when an even bigger God Mode Sue came along and trashed him, right? Do I get a cookie for that?

Seriously, though, what the heck. With all the incredibly over-the-top powers Madara already has (summoning meteors, Rinnegan in both eyes, Sage of Six Paths knowledge, etc.) in addition to his apparent mastery of Hashirama's techniques...this war is friggin' over. (And before you come after me with pitchforks and the like, no, I am not hating on Madara. Yet.) One supermassive meteor was crazy enough, but two? On top of each other? What.

I could see Kishimoto was going for a high HSQ (Holy Sh!t Quotient) in this chapter, what with the three or four two-page spreads and the Kyuubi actually rooting for Naruto, but...really. What. There is no competition here. The Ninja Alliance is screwed. (Obviously I know they won't lose, being The Good Guys and all, but come on!)

Well, at least we can say that some small part of our lovingly crafted Madara characterization wasn't for naught; he still seems like something of a jerk (see his reaction to the carnage). Oh, and yay for random Mito appearance...although she seems to get less detailed with every panel she appears in. xD

...Am I the only one kinda sick of the Tsuchikage?

So I guess Madara didn't actually die at the Valley of the End. That could be an interesting story if/when Kishimoto ever gets to it.

One final note: Page 10. The first three panels. What the hell! Someone come up with an explanation for that that isn't the tiniest bit filthy, I dare you. Is there a hidden microphone down there, or...seriously, Madara, what. XD

Thoughts? Theories? Rants?

Hear hear. I used to dread the series ending, but now...aiy. Just let it go out with dignity, Kishi. >.<;

All the god-moding on Madara's part is even more irritating because it's not necessary. Kishi's been telling us since he appeared how hax he is, we don't need meteors to re-establish it. I think the fights are in general becoming less elegant and character-driven (comparing this to something like Deidara's fight with Gaara at the beginning of shippuden I am not impressed), but what do I know I just spend these chapters observing Madara's hair.

and you are not the only one getting sick of the Tsuchikage :/

^THIS. I agree with you one hundred percent. I recall with fond nostalgia the days when we actually cared about the outcomes of 28957893-chapter-long fights.

Oh. Well, that's nice to know. ^^'

I have only one thing to say, and that is that my WTF thoughts get more and more in number with every chapter I read, rising proportionally with the urge to bang my head off on the nearest wall.

Veni veni venias! He summoned Meteor to destroy the Planet! Somebody grab a white materia and cast Holy. Wait...

Other than that I think you're right about Kishi's scheme. Look, even the Kyuubi is sick of all dis hax.
