Well, that was interesting. Although I gotta say, I always figured Iruka as more of a father figure to Naruto than a big brother one. Whatever. It was sweet regardless.
Finally, finally, FINALLY Naruto knows what's going on and is charging into the fray! All I can say is, it's about time!
One slightly random thing--the crow Itachi shoved down Naruto's throat a million chapters ago? Anybody remember that? I'm collecting theories as to what its purpose is and/or whether Kishimoto's forgotten about it entirely. Honestly, I couldn't blame him. With all these age-old plot twists that have apparently been abandoned, you need a friggin' scorecard to keep track...
But anyway, what'd you all think?

Date: 2011-04-16 05:31 am (UTC)Maybe Kishimoto's got stick-its all over his wall with things like "Crow Itachi" attached to it. Then he looks at it and goes "..What did that mean again? Which volume was-- -_- I need to start numbering these things by chapter."
As for what it is, I'm guessing it's a defense against the Sharingan. Itachi has a pretty good idea of what Sasuke would end up doing. That, plus Madara being after him and Itachi being.. a good boy (*cough* >_>), I can see him using his own chakra to provide a defense against it. Especially since genjutsu and the like are Naruto's weakness.
