Fandom Meme 2011!
Your main fandom of the year?
Naruto still, although I mostly bitched about it this year. And Supernatural--I don't think another fandom has ever taken over my life so fast.
Your favorite film watched this year?
Um...well, Harry Potter has to take the top spot; that's just a given. (I am Geek, hear me roar.) I also saw Some Like It Hot for the first time and thought it was hysterical. Oh, and Priest was pretty damn cool. And Sherlock Holmes was awesome.
Your favorite book read this year?
Havemercy by Jaida Jones and Danielle Bennett. Steampunk dragons + pretty boys + gay magicians + adorable romance + hilarity = the best fantasy I've read in a very long time. Glen Duncan's I, Lucifer was pretty great too.
Your favorite album or song to listen to this year?
Oh jeez...what didn't I listen to this year? If I gotta pick one...I guess the "Sea of Memories" album by Pallers. Great stuff.
Your favorite TV show of the year?
Supernatural. In terms of things I'm actually caught up with, hmm...well, Justified came back and surprised me with how good it was, so maybe that.
Your favorite LJ community of the year?
bitter_nakano, of course! The deancastiel community went a long way towards fuelling my Destiel obsession; that's probably second.
Your best new fandom discovery of the year?
Supernatural three times over. xD
Your biggest fandom disappointment of the year?
I'm gonna say...Naruto's slow and steady spiral into stupidity. (Alliteration, whoo!) Y'all listened to me complain about that for most of the year, so I won't go into detail. *sigh*
Your fandom boyfriend of the year?
Gonna say either Castiel or Nikola Tesla (from Sanctuary, of course). ♥
Your fandom girlfriend of the year?
Does Kpop count as fandom? Because I'm still drooling over Brown Eyed Girls' Ga-In. Oh, and Amber from f(x). (In case Kpop does not, in fact, count...SPN's Sarah Blake. Minor characters FTW. xD)
Your biggest squee moment of the year?
Itachi's return. The news of Castiel's return. Grell's return. (There is a perfectly reasonable explanation for this: all of my favorite characters die.)
The most missed of your old fandoms?
Harry freaking Potter. At least it went out with a bang. :')
The fandom you haven't tried yet, but want to?
Mm...I almost kind of want to try writing for SPN. Except not really, because the insane overload of absolutely brilliant authors in this fandom has scared me off already. xD;;
Your biggest fan anticipations for the New Year?
Dean/Cas reunion Jack and Ennis style, dammit The end of Naruto. Yes, I said it. I want it to end before it drives itself completely into the ground. I want an ending of epic proportions, one that will make us cry (for better or worse), one that will make 10+ years of reading and waiting and theorizing and complaining worth it.
In other news, finally saw Season of the Witch. It was interesting. Nathan (Misfits) was in it. I liked it well enough, even though we were correct in guessing that it was an "everybody dies" kind of movie. ^^; Except due to awesome fanvideos and the like, every now and again I couldn't help looking at the witch and thinking "Rubyyyy." xD
