Ah yay, Naruto got back in his orange jumpsuit (for about five minutes, but still)! I actually missed that thing. Am ever-so-slightly sick of the physical reminder that our beloved main character is becoming...well, I won't beat this point to death. Y'all already know what I think Naruto's becoming.
On that note, this speech was one of Itachi's best, I feel. Okay, so his reasoning on why the villagers all accepted Naruto (I thought it was because he saved them from Pain?) confused me a bit, but the "you'll become Madara" bit was a necessary slap in the face. Naruto has been getting arrogant, which I guess is what comes when a teenager gets way too powerful way too fast, and hopefully Itachi's Speech no Jutsu will work on him. xD
"The village didn't acknowledge him because he became Hokage. He became Hokage because the village acknowledged him." <---This bit. I love it so much, for some reason.
...Okay, it is entirely possible that I read everything with Shipping Goggles firmly attached to my face, but doesn't it seem like Kishimoto is ship teasing the crap out of us lately? "You have something greater than Shisui's eyes. You have the same heart. The real thing Shisui wanted to pass down was that." I suddenly want to write fic about Itachi and that crow...
...but then what. Wait, what? Itachi's not going to see Sasuke? He's not even going to try? What the hell, hero?! Naruto's already tried to stop him, like, six times now with absolutely no success. Who better to talk Sasuke out of everything than the person he's doing all of it for?! Good lord, Itachi, you're supposed to be a genius! You've proven yourself just as adept at motivational speaking as Naruto, never mind a better fighter if it comes to that, so...??? If anyone can explain this logic to me, I am all ears. >___>
Clam Guy and his many mirages was a hilarious if random little scene. Glad to see Kishimoto's having fun with this. xD
"Heeere I come to save the daaaay~!!" Am I the only one picturing Naruto saying this? xDD

But yeah, I was disappointed when he said he wasn't going to see Sasuke. I mean, WHY? If Sasuke saw him, Itachi could give him the ultimate big brother spanking and his whole revenge plot would be dropped, just like that. But no, instead he goes off to... stop Kabutomaru? At least meet Sasuke first ; A ;
If not, then Naruto go meet Sasuke and tell him Itachi said that he is DISAPPOINT. xD
